Competition for the positions in Pluripotent stem cells area

Director of the Institute of Genetics and Animal Breeding of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Jastrzębiec opens competition for the positions in Pluripotent stem cells area

Department of Experimental Embryology of the Institute of Genetics and Animal Breeding of the Polish Academy of Sciences  (IGAB PAS) in  Jastrzębiec/near Warsaw is seeking for a research scientist with expertise and hands-on experience in pluripotent mammalian stem cell derivation and culture. In this role, you will provide molecular biology expertise to our team focused recently on  molecular and epigenetic aspects of early mammalian development.

IGAB PAS has the European status of the Centre of Excellence in Genomics, Biotechnology and Quality of Animal Products in Sustainable Production Systems with consideration of Animal Welfare. In 2015 IGAB PAS received a prestigious status of KNOW (Leading National Scientific Center) in the Scientific Consortium: "Healthy Animal - Safe Food".

Our Department is one of the leading laboratories in Poland in the field of  mammalian experimental embryology and developmental biology. The main focus of our international group is investigating preimplantation development of mammalian embryos, including: the nucleo-cytoplasmic interactions in early mammalian development,  mechanisms of  nuclear reprogramming,  mechanisms of early lineage determination in preimplantation mammalian embryos as well as to studying the long-term effect of parental age on  the development and behaviour  of offspring.  Highly motivated individuals with strong interest in early mammalian embryology will have opportunity apply for internal ESR grant funding to develop their own projects (corresponding with Department's goals), and benefit from our expertise in experimental embryology, animal facilities and modern equipment.
